Description: Just like crafting the perfect meal from an à la carte menu, building a successful birth tissue program means selecting the ingredients that fit your organization’s unique flavor. There’s no one-size-fits-all recipe here! In this engaging session, we’ll explore a variety of program models and mix-and-match options—from tissue acquisition methods and consent processes to referral sources, staffing structures, and beyond. Whether you’re looking for a fully in-house approach, a partnered model, or something in between, you’ll leave ready to design a birth tissue program that’s as customized and satisfying as your favorite dish.
Target Audience: This webinar is designed for tissue bank leaders, program managers, donor coordinators, and healthcare professionals who are managing or planning to launch a birth tissue program.

Birth Tissue Program Director
DCI Donor Services
Leah began her career in donation in 2006 as a Tissue Recovery Coordinator for Connect Life, previously CNY Eye & Tissue Bank. She continued her career as a Tissue Recovery Coordinator at MTF Biologics and helped manage birth tissue acquisition programs with several hospitals in Upstate New York.
In 2019, Leah relocated with her family to Nashville, Tennessee, to join DCI Donor Services, as the Birth Tissue Program Director. In this role, she is responsible for establishing new birth tissue donation contracts, program development, personnel training, and maximizing acquisitions over multiple hospital programs.
