2026 Webinar Series: Preparing Tomorrow's Funeral Directors & Embalmers

Includes a Live Web Event on 10/21/2026 at 2:00 PM (EDT)

Description:  What does it take to prepare the next generation of funeral professionals for the realities of modern death care? This webinar offers a unique look at mortuary arts and sciences from a collegiate perspective, exploring how students are educated, trained, and prepared to enter an evolving profession.

We’ll examine the challenges—both common and unexpected—that new funeral professionals may encounter as they transition from the classroom into the workforce. We’ll also explore how changes within the profession have influenced mortuary science curricula, educational practices, and the skills today’s graduates need to succeed.
Participants will gain insight into evolving educational trends, and shifting statistics within mortuary science education and funeral service practice. Additionally, we’ll take a closer look at where the profession has been, where it is today, and what these changes may mean for the future of death care & how it impacts families.

Target audience: This webinar is intended for funeral professionals, mortuary science educators, tissue donation professionals, and others involved in funeral home and tissue donation partnerships.
