Angela Hadfield, MBA, CTBS

Angela Hadfield is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist who has held both clinical and administrative roles within the field of organ, eye and tissue donation. In 2022, Angela graduated from Berkeley College with her Master of Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management. Currently, Angela works as the Manager of Hospital and Community Development with Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, a New York based organ procurement organization. Angela is an active Committee Member with Donate Life America, specializing in Funeral Services, as well as a member of the New York State Association of County Coroners and Medical Examiners. Angela also serves on the AATB Donor Family Council and is a Faculty Member for The Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance. On a personal level, Angela is tissue recipient whose life was restored by the gift of tissue donation. Angela was honored to represent the AATB as a Donate Life float rider in the 2017 Rose Parade. In 2021, Angela opted to become a birth tissue donor when she and her husband welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lyla Rose.

OneLegacy

Tamela Mease-Van Vactor is a California licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer and Crematory Manager who has been a funeral service practitioner for over 20 years.  Tamela is an alum of Cypress College of Mortuary Science and believes that funeral homes have a valuable role in supporting donor families following the gift of organ, eye and tissue donation.  Currently, Tamela works as the Funeral Home Liaison for OneLegacy, the nation’s largest organ procurement organization located in Southern California. 

Tamela is an active Committee Member of the Donate Life America Funeral Services Committee and focuses on developing donation centered curriculum for educating funeral service professionals. 

After joining OneLegacy in 2018, Tamela began participating in OneLegacy’s Annual Donate Life Run/Walk and established a dedicated team of  funeral service professionals, Compassion in Action, in 2019.
