Heather Germany began her career at LifeNet Health Sept 2011, obtaining her CTBS certification in 2012. As the Sr. Director of Operations, for her first 7 years at LifeNet Health, Heather ran the Tissue Operations for the four facilities and Production Support Departments. She obtained her Black Belt certification in 2017. Currently she is the Vice President Quality Engineering and Lean Champion for LifeNet Health. In this role Heather is responsible for Global Lean at LifeNet Health. She is also responsible for all aspects of Quality Engineering which includes quality oversite for the Design Control Process for new products, Supplier Quality, Safety, Equipment Qualifications, and Dose Audit/Mapping for terminally sterilized tissue.Heather’s background was in the highly regulated pharmaceutical and medical device industry. During her 12 years tenure, Heather held multiple production manager roles at different facilities. She then ran two Small Volume Parenteral Manufacturing facilities in North Carolina. These buildings produced over 690,000,000 units on an annual basis, with responsibility for 1200 employees. Throughout her 12 years with this company, Heather focused on Lean and Continuous Improvement to ensure corporate goals were met as well as alignment to changing regulatory expectations.Throughout her tenure at LifeNet Health, she has participated with AATB as a member of the processing and Distribution Council. In 2020 she was elected as the secretary of the Processing and Distribution Council.
