Sustaining Lean Improvements (Group)

Lean and Six Sigma techniques have become popular approaches for delivering improvements in efficiency and cost, but businesses often find the initial improvements revert over time. In this session, we will review approaches for sustaining Lean process improvements.

Joshua Jones, MBA, LSSBB

Josh Jones is the Director of LEAN Process Improvement at LifeNet Health and is responsible for the leading deployment of continuous improvement strategies and projects across his organization. He assumed the role in March of this year after spending 14 years with LifeNet Health R&D and supporting LEAN initiatives as part of the company’s LEAN Council.

Josh’s R&D experience was focused on developing new soft tissue base products, including tendon, dermis, cardiovascular, birth tissue, and cartilage-based solutions that support a wide range of applications, including Sports Medicine, Wound, and Plastic, Cardiovascular, Dental, and Trauma.

Josh has a BS in Biology from James Madison University, MBA from Virginia Wesleyan University, and completed the LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt program at Old Dominion University. Josh’s career in tissue banking started in 2003 as a Tissue Recovery Technician at LifeNet Health.
