Craig Nelson is an Associate Chief Medical Examiner for the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. His undergraduate and medical degrees are from Wake Forest University, and he completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of Arizona. He completed his forensic pathology fellowship at the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, and then stayed on there for 5-1/2 years as a Deputy Medical Examiner before returning to his home state of North Carolina in 2014. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and board certified in forensic pathology.
