Donor Operations Center Manager

Curpri Sanders currently serves as the Manager of the Donor Operations Center at Gift of Life Michigan where she has been employed for the past 6 years. She started her career at the Wayne County medical examiner's Office in Detroit, Michigan as an Autopsy Technician in 2012. In her 4 years at the ME office, she assisted a team of Forensic Pathologists to determine the causes and manners of death of individuals that died in Wayne County, Michigan. The skills that she gained from the Wayne County medical examiner Office were easily transferred into her starting role at Gift of Life Michigan as a TissueProcurement Specialist in 2016. She worked as a Tissue Procurement specialist for 3 years and moved into the role of Medical Examiner and Funeral Home liaison. She stayed in this role for a year and a half before transitioning into the role as the Manager of the Donor Operations Center. Curpri has a bachelor's degree in science majoring in Biology from Tennessee State University, a master’s degree in public Health from Oakland University and is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS). Curpri is passionate about the work that she does at Gift of Life Michigan. She honors the core purpose of the organization of “Honoring Life Through Donation” by managing the staff who work at the forefront of donation.
