Jamie Rivas has served as the Director of Family and Donor Services at Indiana Donor Network since 2017. She works within the organ procurement organization landscape with her masters in social work and is a licensed clinical social worker. Her span in Family and Donor Services includes oversight of the donation call center, the transportation/logistics department, the Aftercare team and the Family Services department. Jamie has a developed background in working with families in crisis having started in the fields of legal intervention, child protection services and adoption services in San Diego County, California. She began her leadership pathway twenty years ago managing within the area of community engagement and recruitment in the foster care field. Transitioning her career to Indiana in 2007, she entered the healthcare field specializing in working within the trauma center, specialty care populations, substance abuse case management and high-risk mental health interventions. Jamie's passion is representing the needs of families with complex psychosocial dynamics during their healthcare experience. Her investment in these individuals and families lends well to creating expertise within her teams. Within all of her areas of interest, she is most motivated by opportunities to encounter families throughout their personal journeys of crisis, grief and loss. She became personally connected to organ donation in 2001 and is professionally driven to provide for families in a way that grows the connection between donation legacies and grief healing experiences.
