Mr. Reuben Wright Jr. is currently employed by Sharing Hope SC, formally LifePoint, Inc. He is a certified Grief Counselor and currently serves as Donor Family Services Coordinator/Counselor. He provides grief support to South Carolina’s donor families and has been facilitating bereavement support groups across the state since 2001. He has served as Multicultural Affairs Coordinator and Chair for the LifePoint Multicultural Affairs Committee. He was oriented in 1991 as the agency’s first Community Relations Coordinator, in which he supervised the organization’s first African American Outreach and Education Program. He provides counseling services for his local church fellowship; and partners with local pastors in providing therapeutic support for referred parishioners. Mr. Wright is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Counseling with an anticipated completion date April 2022. During his tenure with Sharing Hope SC, he has been active with North American Transplant Coordinators Organization (NATCO), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), South Carolina Association of Volunteer Administrators (SCAVA), and American Society of Minority Health & Transplant Professionals (ASMHTP), where he served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer from 1999 to 2000 under the administration of Brenda Butler-Hamlett. He was the Planning Chair for the Association for Multicultural Affairs in Transplantation (AMAT) 2019 Annual Conference which was hosted in the beautiful historic Charleston, SC under the administration of Maria Veve.
