The Processing and Distribution Council consists of AATB members who have an interest in the science, technology, and practice of quality systems in tissue banking. The Council works to ensure the safety and efficiency of tissue processing and distribution.

Welcome to the AATB Processing & Distribution Council (PADC) Showcase!  We are excited that you have chosen to look at our council and would consider joining and contributing your expertise and experience to the entire association membership on matters related to the processing and distribution of donated tissue.  Just a few facts about the council and our goals;

 The mission of the Processing and Distribution Council is to contribute to the growth and advancement of the tissue banking industry, the AATB, and by association, progress in our own careers. PADC is committed to providing a forum for those involved or interested in tissue processing and distribution activities to collaborate, share experiences and uncover opportunities for the industry to maximize the safety and efficacy of the tissues as well as efficiency in tissue Processing and Distribution.  

As members of PADC you can Educate, Influence, and Improve (E2I):

Educate:
Develop and support educational opportunities for the AATB Membership. This includes recommendation of subjects, speakers for the AATB sponsored meetings, webinars and special events.

Influence:
Get involved in AATB task forces, committees & activities focusing on areas such as labelling requirements, sterilization methodologies, packaging qualification/validations, and regulatory issues related to processing and distribution of donated tissue domestic and international.

Improve:
Participate directly or through your council in recommending changes to Standards and best practices related to Processing, Treatment, Packaging, Storage & Distribution methods. The Council engages and supports the AATB by providing Subject Matter Experts to assist in drafting Guidance Documents or perform/support research activities related to processing and distribution.
