Session Summary

In this recorded interview with key personnel of AATB-accredited Non-Transplant Donation Organizations (NADOs), panelists and the moderator will be discussing where things went well and where things could've gone better while handling the various--and sometimes unique--concerns and crises caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be time at the recordings' end for Q&A with the audience live via instant-message chatroom or via post-session email.

James Bardsley is the Director of Operations and CSO at Anatomy Gifts Registry (AGR). James has been working with AGR since 2004 in positions from tissue recovery and distribution technician, bioskills lab manager, as well as client services manager, before gaining an upper management position and eventual Directorship. He is a graduate of Towson University, with degrees specializing in molecular & cellular biology. James has been certified as a tissue banking specialist (CTBS) by the AATB since 2010. James is also a licensed Mortician & a permitted Crematory Operator in the state of Maryland. James is currently the Vice-Chair of the Nontransplant Anatomical Donation Organizations (NADOs) Council of AATB and represents NADOs as a voting member on the AATB Standards Committee. James is also a member on the Board of the Association for Bioskills Laboratory Excellence (ABLE) and chairs ABLE’s Membership and Guidelines committees. To name a few, his eclectic interests include cycling & overall fitness, modifying his project car, cooking, and keeping up with the latest anime.

Robin Bozarth, CTBS, Medical Education

Robin Bozarth is a skilled medical professional with over 30 years’ experience within the industry. Robin currently leads the Genesis Legacy Whole-Body Donation Foundation for the Medical Education Research Institute (MERI). She has held various leadership positions at the MERI, a nonprofit medical teaching institution/bioskills facility, since her start in 2003 after ten years’ service within orthopedic surgery. Robin is committed to her profession and maintaining the highest levels of ethical responsibility within the non-transplant anatomical donation industry for medical education and research. Robin was born in Memphis, TN and raised in DeSoto County, MS, where she graduated from Horn Lake High School. Robin holds an Associates of Applied Science Degree and is a licensed Funeral Director in the State of TN. She is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) through the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) certified through the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Robin is a professional member of many societies and involved in various community-based volunteer programs. Robin is a proud mom to beautiful twin daughters and is blessed with three gorgeous grandchildren in her life. Robin loves her family, her community and helping those around her. Two rescue cats (Zoie and Cap) are lucky to have claimed Robin’s place as their own.

Amanda Rodgers, BS

Vice President of Operations

Research For Life, LLC

Amanda is the Vice President of Operations with over 11 years’ experience with Research For Life. Amanda started her journey in tissue banking as a laboratory technician before moving into a training and education role with wet lab events and client needs. Currently Amanda works with the executive team at Research For Life to oversee daily operations and compliance with all regulatory bodies to include AATB.

Previously Amanda has been involved with AATB by attending annual webinars and is a member of the NADO standards committee for three years. Amanda is the Manager with Executive Responsibility for Research For Life. Amanda is currently holding the following positions with AATB; AATB Standards Committee, COVID NADO Round Table, Accreditation Committee, NADO Working group for Annual AATB Meeting, and AATB Nominating and Awards Committee.
